Create your own newspaper by taking some of these dull headlines and transform them to sell more newspapers! Remember that Yellow Journalism tends to be a mix of truth and fiction, and often exaggerates.

Below are some items that you can transform using Yellow Journalism.

  • Snow expected tomorrow.
  • President visits Russia.
  • Xavier cross country comes in 3rd at meet.
  • Ben and Jerry’s new ice cream flavor released.
  • New Star Wars film released.
  • Governor does not sign law to give more money to schools.
  • Cat attacks dog.

US History Homework

AP & US History Homework
United States History students will need to study US geography over the summer. One or two weeks into the school year students will have a US geography test on the summer homework. For AP students they must receive an 80% or better on this test.
I also highly recommend that you pick up an APUSH study book before the school year begins if you are planning to take the AP test.. I will be using the 5 Steps to a 5 book as a curriculum for the class and I believe you will find it incredibly helpful. Beginning to study the book before the year starts would be beneficial as well. (If you are getting a used book, do not buy one older than 2015 as that year the new test was introduced. Older editions will lack key information.)
